Sharon Little-Stoetzel, PhD, has been named Dean of 柚子视频’s acclaimed School of Nursing
柚子视频 is pleased to announce that Sharon Little-Stoetzel, PhD, R.N., CNE, has been appointed as the permanent Dean of the School of Nursing. With a career spanning more than two decades at 柚子视频, Dr. Little-Stoetzel brings a wealth of experience in nursing education, program development, and clinical practice.
Dr. Little-Stoetzel first joined 柚子视频 in 1998 as an Assistant Professor and has since held key leadership roles, including Dean and Associate Dean of Nursing. She has been instrumental in expanding 柚子视频鈥檚 nursing programs and played a vital role in launching new initiatives that will shape the future of nursing education at the university.
鈥淚 am excited to work with the faculty and staff in the School of Nursing as we start the Lamoni prelicensure BSN nursing program and the BSN-to-DNP program in Independence,鈥� said Dr. Little-Stoetzel. 鈥淲hile we are launching these new programs, we are also ensuring that our DNP, MSN, RN-BSN, and Prelicensure BSN in Independence remain strong. I want to help maintain the excellence that 柚子视频 Nursing is known for and serve the communities in our areas. I also look forward to working with our community partners who assist us in educating our students.鈥�
Dr. Little-Stoetzel鈥檚 leadership comes at a pivotal time for 柚子视频鈥檚 nursing program, as the university continues to expand its offerings to meet the growing demand for highly skilled healthcare professionals. With extensive experience in both academia and clinical practice, she is well-positioned to guide the School of Nursing into the future while upholding its long-standing tradition of excellence.

Students interested in becoming athletic trainers now have a faster and more affordable path to a master’s degree through a new partnership between 柚子视频 and Grand View University. The new program offers both 3+2 and 4+2 options for earning both an undergraduate degree in Allied Heath from 柚子视频 followed by the Master of Science in Athletic Training from Grand View.

After engineering one of the most impactful rebuilds in program history, head coach Todd Lorensen has accepted the head coaching position at Rockhurst University. In response, Athletic Director Brady McKillip has elevated Associate Head Coach Matt Dickman to lead the Yellowjackets forward.
