Buzzing the Airwaves

Ƶ’s history with radio dates back to 1916, when Arthur B. Church organized the Ƶ Radio club to study and promote the sciences of wireless telegraphy and telephony. The club operated a government-licensed wireless station known to operators as 9YO.

The university has operated many different radio broadcasting stations over the years, including 9YO, KFFV, KLAL and KGRA.

KBUZ is Ƶ’s latest iteration in its long history of radio broadcasting.
