How to maintain the efficiency and durability of the inverter? For the inverter, the most popular electrical control device at the moment, if we want to make the inverter run smoothly and efficiently for a long time, as professional and technical personnel, we need to start from four direct Start with the environmental factors that affect the operation of the inverter, and do a good job of preparation.

1. The physical environment

①Temperature factor

Temperature has a huge impact on the life and reliability of electronic components inside the inverter. When using the inverter in an environment with high operating temperature, additional cooling measures must be taken to ensure that the ambient temperature is stable within the range required by the inverter manual (-10~+40/45℃).

In the electric control box, the inverter should generally be installed on the upper part of the box, and it is strictly forbidden to install the heating element close to the bottom of the inverter! In addition, the cooling fan of the inverter should be checked and cleaned regularly during use.

②Humidity factor

When the ambient humidity is greater than 90%, the insulation of the internal components of the inverter will deteriorate, which will cause the inverter to malfunction.

Therefore, putting a desiccant into the inverter when necessary becomes a necessary means of removing moisture.

③Corrosive gas
Since corrosive gases have a great destructive effect on the electrical insulation properties of the inverter's internal PCB board and plastic product shell, the use of the inverter in this environment should be required to adopt a sealed enclosure that meets the requirements of safety regulations.
④Vibration and shock

These two physical phenomena will cause the inverter to have poor electrical contact and open welding of components, and have a greater impact on the normal use of the inverter.

Therefore, strengthening daily maintenance and repair work should not be careless.

2. Electrical environment

①Prevent electromagnetic interference

Due to the existence of rectification and inverter links during the operation of the inverter, this working process will inevitably produce a lot of electromagnetic wave interference, and these high-frequency electromagnetic waves have certain interference to nearby instruments and meters.

For this reason, the instruments and meters on the same network as the inverter should be grounded first, and the cables with shielding layer should be used for the wiring between various electrical components and instruments, and the shielding layer must be grounded.

② Prevent over-voltage at the input

Although most inverter power input terminals have over-voltage protection functions, if the high voltage at the inverter input terminal lasts for a long time, it will often damage the internal components of the inverter (such as varistors, rectifiers, etc.).

For power supplies with frequent power supply voltage fluctuations and large amplitudes, it is necessary to consider the use of stabilized equipment.

3.Ground

The correct grounding of the inverter is an important means to improve system sensitivity and suppress noise interference. The grounding resistance of the inverter grounding terminal G (also marked as E) is as small as possible.

The cross-sectional area of the grounding wire should not be less than 2mm², and the length should be controlled within 20m.

In addition, it should be pointed out that the shielding layer of the signal input line of the inverter should be connected to the G (or E) terminal, and the other end must not be connected to the ground, otherwise it will cause signal fluctuations and cause system oscillation.

4.Lightning protection

Generally, there are lightning absorption and discharge circuits in the inverter to prevent instant lightning intrusion and damage to the inverter. Unfortunately, in actual operation, especially when the inverter power cord is introduced overhead, it is far from enough to rely solely on the internal lightning protection circuit of the inverter.

For this reason, in the lightning active area and the inverter power supply is introduced by overhead lines, a lightning arrester dedicated for the inverter (manufacturer option) should be installed at the incoming line, or pre-embedded galvanized 20m away from the inverter as required by the specification Special grounding lightning protection for steel pipe seat.

In order to maintain the high efficiency and durability of the inverter, these four main points are indispensable.
